Fuerteventura Island, Canary Islands - Part 1

Bismillah hirrahman nirrahim...

To begin with, ni adalah percutian yang tak dirancang properly as usual pun

sebelum ni, at least sebulan sebelum dah start plan

but this time, less than a week before date of departure baru booking semua

and the place chosen pun adalah by lucky choice

but alhamdulillah, semua lancar and sangat seronok

in fact, this is one of the most enjoyable and relaxing holidays so far

bertolak dari Birmingham International Airport on 14 Dec, at 9.50am

keluar dar rumah after subuh at 6.30am

ambik taxi terus ke train station (6 people dalam satu taxi £10, cheap!)

ambik Virgin train ke airport (£1.10 sorang) <-- Virgin train kan laju. direct cov ke birm airport terus :)

sampai sana terus ke counter Thomas Cook Holiday for the tickets on departure

selalunya kalau book at least 2 weeks sebelum journey

travel agent akan post ticket kat rumah

tapi sebab book lewat, terus pi amik ticket kat counter kat airport je

lagi senang kan, dah ready semua dah

i just showed my booking reference

terus the staff bagi booklet yang ada tickets and travel documents :)

eh lupa nak cerita, kali ni kami ambik package holiday

bukan arrange everything macam selalu

nama pun percutian mengejut

so tak sempat (and mahal) kalau nak book sendiri

so pengajarannya, kalau dah lewat nak bercuti 

better guna package

lagi senang, cepat, murah :)

yang ni dapat kat website Late Deals

accommodation (3 nights) + return flights + transfers from / to airport from the resort

semua under Thomas Cook Holiday <-- travel agent

and sangat recommended

service pun bagus and efficient

staff pun friendly, nice and fluent in English

*mind you, Canary Islands belong to Spain and they speak Spanish. 

makanan tak ambik package (ayah selalu buat macam ni, lagi best kan!)

lagi pun kalau ambik package rugi la

sebab kita kan tak boleh makan daging and alcohol-based (halal issue)

so baik carik makan sendiri, lagi bebas and menarik

sepanjang kat sana makan seafood or vegetarian food je

and untuk nak untung lagi

since duduk apartment with kitchenette 

we chose to have dinner + snack je kat luar

breakfast, lunch, hi-tea semua kat apartment

yes, we brought along some instant noodle, pilau rice, baked beans and roti <-- yeah, makan banyak!

sampai sana singgah supermarket beli telur ngan susu (wajb!!)

so bab makan memang settle! 

memang priority pun kan :)))

they got their own airlines. and we boarded this type of plane.

this is the booklet i got from the counter. 6 of us, and the booking was under 2 names, me and wazap.

yana n intan under mine, mek n kayla under wazap's.

then dah dapat benda ni terus beratur kat check-in desks untuk nak ambik boarding passes and check-in the luggages

yang bagusnya Thomas Cook ni

for each person dapat 15kg check-in bag allowance

semua include dalam harga package tadi

kalau Ryan Air, hand luggage 5kg

check in bag semua kira asing

so boleh bawak banyak benda la this time

pi 4 days 3 nights je for 15kg, sumbat la beg penuh2 pun :)

in-flight meals: hot choc + caramel waffles

actually, tak ambik pun in-flight meals ni. tapi the journey took almost 5 hours, and dah lapar, beli je la. 

both costed me, £3.20 only. lepas makan, main game kat iphone. tak boleh tidoq pulak, haih :(

sampai je kat Fuerteventura Airport

and i got this as a welcome card

from the airport to the resort located at Corralejo 

it took us almost 40mins kot

pemandangan yang menarik

sebelah kiri padang pasir, sebelah kanan laut

hah, pilih nak tengok mana..

 dalam coach. ni one of the landmarks kat Fuerteventura Island, Elephant or Red Mountain. the tourist guide tu kata ada rupa gajah sikit, plus batu2 tu colour merah. ada la sikit macam gajah kot..

kami dapat 2 apartments, 3 for each

kat sini suhu around 18-24'c

so sedap2 je la, tak panas sangat, tak sejuk sangat

jacket is not required :)

yang lagi best, sebab sunny with cool breeze, selesa je

i wore my nike sneakers from birm to fuerteventura

tapi sepanjang kat sana pakai sandal je <-- yana hadiah time besday last year  

living room, sliding door view. meja plastic tu kami angkat letak kat balcony. so makan kat luar la, feeling orang putih ni nak tan! tan la sangat kannnn.. meghelit teruih!

 living room. hahaha semak. masuk2 je trus humban beg situ sebab pi cek balcony.

 kitchenette. ada microwave jugak, tapi tak nampak dalam gambar ni. periuk, kuali, pinggan mangkuk, sudu, gelas semua ada. bagus.

bilik tidoq, share 3 orang. ok la kan :)

by the time sampai resort pun dah 4pm lebih

so check-in bilik, makan, relax sikit

lepas tu terus bedebushhhhhh terjun swimming pool

time macam ni orang putih tak dak nak sun-bathing

dah petang kan..

depa lepak time matahari terpacak nuh

dekat pool tu tulis kena pakai swimming attire je kalau nak mandi

so pi jumpa kat reception and tanya boleh tak mandi tapi pakai swimming suit yang tutup aurat ni 

the good thing about Spanish is, depa sangat understood tau

they know we are Muslims kan, so depa bagi je :)

seriously dalam semua european countries yang fini pernah pi

spanish yang paling friendly, gentle, helpful and handsome! <-- personally!

french, italian macam kasar and garang sikit <-- eh tapi my first visit to paris, most people are nice jugak :)

austrian, swiss, german pun lebih kurang je

but i think, spanish is the best lah!

wah gembira masing2 boleh berendam. 

kami main2 kat area 1.1m ke 1.4 m je. pi kat 1.5 tak larat jinjat. pendek la katakan, 1.56m je..

 sepatutnya order lemonade je kat bar belakang tu. baru boleh feeling belakon cita yusof haslam, lepak tepi pool minum fresh orange dalam wine glass siap ada payung kecik kihkihkih

 model pakaian renang muslimah. boleh masuk magazine Solehah nih ;p

ok dah2, nak mangrib dah. masuk bilik siap nak keluar carik makan pulak.

part of  the city, cantik mall ni. baru lagi rasanya. ada jugak la butik2 like Zara and Esprit. 

err tak tau nak letak caption apa. 'gadis yang sopan' can ah?

gadis dan pokok krismas. well, dah banyak krismas decoration kat sini.

p/s: cantik kan sandal i?

 sambung jalan2 kat along the city street, jumpa kedai ni. kedai jual baju putih je. semua putih. bfifi suka nih!

 jumpa kedai makan dah. oriental seafood. ni starter, prawn crackers and sweet sauce.

mine. prawn fried noodle.

ok lapaq tegedik. tapi sayang nak makan sebab carrot peacock tu comel tecogok kat situ.

yeay, abang waiter tolong snap pic. me n wazap je makan noodle, yang lain semua makan nasik goreng. time ni, tahap lapaq adalah menggigil. tak boleh nak makan ringan, kena carik yang berat jugak!

 sobs sobs, kreatifnya chef itu!

 hahahaha kena makan jugak! dinosaur ni tamak, peacock pun kena tokak! 

then balik apartment
